After raising my 2 children in Georgia, I decided to move to the Florida Keys in 2005, Having always loved being in and around water, the Keys were the perfect place for me. It is where I found my true home, and found my passion for yoga. I decided to pursue that passion, so I became a certified Hatha yoga teacher in 2009, at the Yandara Yoga Institute, in the Baja of Mexico. Since then, I have furthered my training, in Aerial Yoga, as well as Paddle-board Yoga. The joy of teaching yoga outside in the fresh air, is the ultimate dream! Whether it's on the land, in the air, or on the water, the outdoor yoga experience is wonderful here in the Keys. There is no place like it!
Yoga has been instrumental in changing my life, not only with my body, but nourishing me in my heart and soul. Yoga to me is about alignment of everything in my life. By slowing down, letting go of my expectations and ego, it has forced me to face my inner critic, and to release the need for perfectionism (Thinking that I only deserve love if I am perfect), to love and accept myself just as I am, no matter what is going on in my life. It's taught me to cultivate love, gratitude, and joy for all the miracles in life.
That is my intention for you as well. To have you "let go" of ego, tune into your breath, quiet your mind, and feel gratitude and love, even if it is for a short time. The benefits are amazing, and my hope, is that you will experience and feel a renewal of self. Then, you can learn how to incorporate that renewal of self into your day, and eventually into the rest of your life.

Meditation will help you to quiet your mind, lower your blood pressure, reduce stress, and help you to make a connection to your breath and body. It is a variation of stand up paddle surfing and yoga, and can take your yoga practice to a whole new level. You will develope additional core strength and balance.
